MACANETA

Macaneta is a wonderful day trip. Macaneta is the closest beach resort to Maputo and popular weekend outing with people working in the capital.
The major attractions are excellent game fishing and attractive, clean beach.
The sea here isn't particularly suitable for snorkelling, diving or swimming.

The restaurant on the beach serves excellent piri-piri chicken.

Transfer: the road to the resort is rather sandy and requires a 4WD vehicle. You will cross the Nkomati River by ferry or you will catch a boat the whole way downriver to Macaneta Beach. The transfer already is an adventure!
